Siddur in decorated silver binding. Venice, Italy, 18th and 19th centuries.

Silver binding (apparently dating to the early 19th century) decorated identically on both sides, in vegetal patterns, with a large crown set on the top shield. Family coat of arms on the shield on front binding – a rooster standing on a three-peaked mountain, under a sun and moon (perhaps the coat of arms of the Modigliani family). Another coat of arms is featured on the back binding – an erect lion holding a branch.
The book: Italian-rite siddur. Venice: Yitzchak Foa, [1796].
