With many approbations by leading Torah authorities of the generation, including the Noda BiYehudah and R. Shaul Rabbi of Amsterdam; and R. Pinchas HaLevi Horowitz author of the Haflaah on last leaf.
Distinguished copy. On title page, signatures and ownership inscriptions of R. Chaim Auerbach Rabbi of Luntshitz, author of Divrei Mishpat: "I purchased from my wealth in honor of my Maker, Chaim Auer…"; "Chaim Auerbach of Lissa". Signature of his grandson, R. "Meir Auerbach", Rabbi of Kalisz and Jerusalem, author of Imrei Binah, and of R. "Eliezer Hertman" and R. "Avraham Kaufman". Catalogue inscription "135" on title page (a similar numeration appears on other books from the library of the Imrei Binah).
Three lengthy handwritten glosses on leaves of book – apparently handwritten by the Imrei Binah.

R. Chaim Auerbach, Rabbi of Luntshitz (ca. 1755-1839), leading Polish rabbi. Born in Lissa (Leszno) to the dayan R. Yitzchak Itzek Auerbach, he studied under him and other rabbis of Lissa, and was a close disciple of R. Avraham Abish who later served as Rabbi of Frankfurt. R. Chaim was appointed dayan in Lissa, and later as Rabbi of Luntshitz (Łęczyca). He was known as a holy and charitable man. He authored Divrei Mishpat on Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat – a foundational text of monetary law.

R. Meir Auerbach (1815-1878) was Rabbi of Kalisz, and a prominent Torah scholar of his times. He was the son of R. Yitzchak Itzek Auerbach, Rabbi of Luntshitz (Łęczyca), author of the Divrei Chaim, and grandson of R. Chaim Auerbach, Rabbi of Luntshitz, author of Divrei Mishpat. In 1859 he immigrated to Eretz Israel, and was the first officially appointed chief rabbi of the Ashkenazi community. Aside from his renowned knowledge of Torah and halachah, he was also a great kabbalist and studied in the Beit El yeshiva. His Imrei Binah is a classic exegesis of profound halachic topics.

Talmud Yerushalmi, Seder Zeraim, Moed and Nashim. Zhitomir: R. Chanina Lipa and R. Yehoshua Heshel Shapira, [1860]-1867. Four of five parts (without Part V, with Seder Nezikin and Tractate Niddah).
Talmud Yerushalmi, Seder Zeraim, Moed and Nashim, with commentaries Pnei Moshe, Mareh HaPanim, Korban HaEdah and Sheyarei Korban. The present edition is the first printing of the Pnei Moshe and Mareh HaPanim commentaries on Seder Zeraim and Moed.
On title page of Seder Zeraim: Stamps of R. Daniel Feinberg, Rabbi of Vitebsk, and R. "David Tevele Ish Efrati of Haradok…". On margins of this volume, tens of lengthy glosses handwritten and signed by R. David Tevele Efrati (some slightly trimmed). Some refer to his other books, including Migdol David [unpublished, but mentioned in his other books], and others.

R. David Tevele Efrati of Vitebsk (1849-1884), lived in Haradok-Vitebsk, and corresponded on halachic and aggadic topics with all leading Torah scholars of his generation – Lithuania, Galicia, Germany and other countries. He authored a diverse range of books and articles: halachic responsa, Talmudic and aggadic novellae, homiletics and kabbalah, and rabbinic bibliography and biography, including Toldot Anshei Shem. He passed away at the young age of 34, leaving behind an immense literary production, much of which has not been printed.
Several more handwritten glosses, apparently by another writer.

Three volumes. Volume I (Seder Zeraim): [5], 14, 14-60; 30; 31; 33; 42; 18; 24; 18; 24, 23-33; 14; 9 leaves. Tractate Kilayim bound after Tractate Challah. Yitav Lev, Chassidic, homiletical and ethical discourses on the Five Books of the Torah [by Rebbe Yekutiel Yehudah Teitelbaum, Rabbi of Sighet]. Sighet (Sighetu Marmației): Maramaroscher Actien-Buchdruckerei, 1875. First edition. Five parts in three volumes.
The book was printed anonymously in the author's lifetime. The book title is an acronym alluding to the name of the author – Yitav stands for Yekutiel Yehudah Teitelbaum. In his introduction, the author explains why he published his work anonymously.
He cites the introduction of the Panim Meirot, who was in doubt "whether it's better for a person not to reveal who the author is, or whether there is an obligation to mention the author…". Rebbe Yekutiel Yehudah humbly offers a resolution: "Regarding halachot that pertain to law, it is important to know who the author is and whether he can be relied upon… but regarding aggadah and ethics, what do we need to know the author's name for? The words are proven if they penetrate their listeners' hearts… So I decided it was better to conceal it, since I am ashamed to stand among the ranks of Torah scholars, since my soul knows my little worth…".

Rebbe Yekutiel Yehudah Teitelbaum, Rabbi of Sighet – the Yitav Lev (1808-1883), a close disciple of his grandfather the Yismach Moshe – Rebbe Moshe Teitelbaum Rabbi of Ujhel, and disciple of Rebbe Asher Yeshayah of Ropshitz. In 1833 he was appointed rabbi of Stropkov, and after the passing of his illustrious grandfather, he was selected to succeed him as Rabbi of Ujhel (Sátoraljaújhely), and was later appointed Rabbi of Gorlitz (Gorlice), Drohobych and finally Sighet (Sighetu Marmației), where he founded a large yeshiva and earned worldwide renown, with thousands of Chassidim flocking to seek his counsel and blessings.
Stamps and ownership inscriptions on title pages and last leaf of third volume and title page of second volume of "Eliyahu Rizel Ober Apsha (Verkhnye Vodyane)". Another inscription of "Shalom Rosenthal Grosswardein (Oradea)" [a distinguished Satmar Chassid, later rabbi of the Arizal synagogue in Safed] and an older stamp.

Three volumes. Volume I (Bereshit-Vayikra): [3], 141, [2] leaves; 91 leaves; [3], 55 leaves. Volume II (Bamidbar): [1], 80, [1] leaves. Volume III (Devarim): [1], 52, 55-70, [3] leaves. Errata for Shemot and Vayikra bound at end of Devarim. 24 cm. Varying condition of volumes; volume I in fair-good condition, volumes II-III in good to good-fair condition.
