Tikunei Zohar. Livorno: R. Yaakov Nunez-Vaez and Refael Meldola, [1794].
Tens of lengthy kabbalistic glosses handwritten by kabbalist R. Masud Amsalem, who signs most of them with his acronym: "the Maamitz".
At the beginning of the manuscript are ownership inscriptions and signatures of his son: "Avraham son of Masud Amsalem" (with his calligraphic signature).

R. Masud Amsalem was a Moroccan kabbalist, probably ca. early 19th century. We do not know of any biographical details about him, but his profound and lengthy glosses on the writings of the Arizal appear in several kabbalistic manuscripts from Morocco. These important glosses – including those in the present books – have not yet been printed.

164 leaves (lacking title page and following leaf). 25 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains, including dark stains. Worming, affecting text in several places. Old binding, with defects.
